…For those that say “comedies never get their due respect” at the Oscars.

Sure, these movies are devoid of dick and fart jokes, but classically funny, and overall bring a better comedic element to the screen than any foul-mouthed hilarity could. And they were awarded with nominations AND some were overall good enough to win Best Picture. I love comedies with crude humor just as much as the next person, but I certainly don’t expect these type of comedies to garner any nominations, much less win gold.
